Feline Laser Declawing

We perform laser declaws because the laser minimizes pain and swelling, as it seals nerve endings and blood vessels. There is less blood loss and less post-op pain.
A declaw is a major surgery and requires the following:
PRE- SURGICAL BLOOD PROFILE AND EXAMINATION WITH EKG
PRE-SURGICAL/POST SURGICAL PAIN MEDICATIONS
SEDATIVE
INTRAVENOUS CATHETER
ANESTHESIA MONITORING
SURGICAL MONITORING WITH EKG, PULSE OXIMETER, RESPIRATION, TEMPERATURE, BLOOD PRESSURE. -Your pet is monitored by a technician from the start of surgery until your pet is out of recovery.
POST- OP PAIN MANAGEMENT- Pain medications and antibiotics will be sent home.
LASER: Used on all declaws. The laser minimizes pain and swelling, as it seals nerve endings and blood vessels.
All patients are hospitalized for at least 48 hours. Your post-op appointment will be 10 to 14 days from the day of surgery.
Yesterday's News instead of regular litter will need to be used for the next 5 days following the procedure.
Please keep an Elizabethan Collar on at all times. It is the responsibility of the pet owner to make sure that the pet does not lick or chew the surgery area or become
too active causing recovery issues. If your pet is allowed to lick or chew the surgery area, the surgery site can become damaged and inflamed. Please adhere to these
instructions to avoid additional charges.
An estimate is given prior to scheduling the declaw. All estimates are good for 30 days.
